Metin stones are the game's namesake for a reason: they give experience, spirit stones, skill books and a steady trickle of sellable loot. Farming them well is a matter of choosing the right stones and keeping a rhythm.
How a metin stone works
A metin is a stationary object with a large health pool. As its health drops it spawns waves of monsters around itself, and when it breaks it releases its loot. That means every stone is really two fights: the stone, and the waves it throws at you. A character who can hit hard but cannot survive the waves will farm slowly, and so will one who survives everything but takes a minute per stone.
Pick stones by break time, not by level
Use a simple test: time how long one stone takes from first hit to loot on the ground. If it is much longer than the walk to the next stone, you are fighting stones that are too strong and should step down a tier. Bonuses against stones on your weapon and accessories shorten that time more than general damage does, so they are worth prioritising on a dedicated farming set.
Plan a circuit
Stones respawn at fixed points on a timer. Learn where they appear on your map, order them into a loop, and ride it on a horse. On busy channels the stones nearest the town are always contested, so the far corners of a map are often more productive. Switching channel is also a legitimate way to find fresh stones when your loop is empty.
Handle the waves efficiently
- Keep hitting the stone and let area skills deal with the monsters around it.
- Stand so the waves gather on one side of you rather than surrounding you.
- Keep potions flowing; waves arrive in bursts and that is when deaths happen.
- Do not chase stragglers. They follow you to the next stone anyway.
What the loot is worth
Spirit stones sell at every stage of the game, skill books sell in waves whenever new characters reach the right level, and upgrade materials are always in demand. Sort your inventory after each session and read our yang farming guide for how to turn that pile into income.
Automating metin hunting with BluRay
Be careful what you expect here. At the time of writing, an automatic metin hunt feature is listed only for BluRay's Rodnia build. The other builds offer Farm and Level modes, pickup and, on some servers, mob pull and recorded routes, which help with the monsters around a stone but are not the same thing as a dedicated metin hunter. The server list shows what each build includes, and the official BluRay site has the current status.
Keep it honest with yourself: a stone circuit run by software is easy for other players to notice and report. Any third-party tool can violate a server's rules and lead to a ban. BluRay's Anti Ban setting reacts when another player is detected nearby; it is a menu option, not protection you can rely on.
Tips that add up
- Farm stones during drop or experience events when your server runs them.
- Empty your inventory before starting; a full bag mid-circuit wastes a trip.
- Re-test your break time whenever your gear changes and move up a tier when it is short enough.
- Pair stone farming with levelling in the mid-game, when stones give good experience for their difficulty.
