Yang pays for upgrades, potions, horse food and nearly every trade you will ever make. Earning it quickly is less about a secret map and more about removing the minutes you waste. This guide covers the manual basics first, then what automation can and cannot add.
1. Farm where you kill in one or two hits
The most common mistake is farming a map that is slightly too strong for the character. Monsters that take six hits and force a potion every pack look rewarding per kill, but the hourly total is poor. Drop down a tier until a normal pack dies almost as fast as you can gather it. Yang per hour is kills per hour multiplied by what each kill is worth, and the first number is the one you control.
2. Cut the walking
Pick a compact area with several spawn groups close together and walk it as a loop, so that the first group has respawned by the time you return. Long corridors, river crossings and empty corners are dead time. If another player is already working the same loop, move on rather than splitting the spawns: half a good spot is worse than a whole average one.
3. Pull, then hit
Area skills and wide weapon swings reward grouping. Gather several groups, bring them together and kill them at once instead of fighting each group where it stands. A Courage Cape does the gathering for you on most servers, which is why it is a staple of any farming setup.
4. Treat drops as income, not clutter
Raw yang from monsters is only part of the picture. Upgrade materials, spirit stones, skill books and event items usually sell to other players for far more than the coins that dropped next to them. Pick everything up, learn which items move on your server's market, and sell in bulk rather than vendoring out of habit.
5. Stay alive without babysitting
Every death costs a walk back, and every pause to drink costs kills. Carry more potions than you think you need, keep your HP potion on a habit rather than a panic, and do not skimp on defence just to squeeze out a little more damage.
Where a farm bot fits
All of the above is repetitive, which is exactly why players automate it. BluRay Farm Bot is a free Windows tool that covers the loop described here: its Main screen has a Farm mode with an adjustable range, pickup and range pickup, and separate automatic potions for HP and SP; the Skills screen can use a Courage Cape on its own timer; and the Route screen lets you record a path once and replay it. The Settings screen adds automatic login after a disconnect and respawning at the same spot after a death.
Two things to know first. BluRay only exists for a small number of servers, and each build has a different feature set, so read the server list before planning around it. And using any third-party tool can break a game's rules and cost you the account. Read our risk guide before deciding.
Quick checklist
- Farm one tier below where you struggle.
- Use a short loop with no empty stretches.
- Group monsters before you attack.
- Loot everything and price-check before selling.
- Save your longest sessions for yang or drop events.
